Dalian Medical University was Founded in 1947 One of the key universities affiliated to the Government of LIONING PROVINCE Dalian Medical University has become a comprehensive Medical university showcasing training in multiple disciplines at both undergraduate and graduate level. The University occupies an area of 344000 sq mtr.

The University encompasses 15 second-class institutes 5 education department 1 computer & Internet center nearly 100 teaching bases for clinical education or practice and 100 affiliated sanitation school. with the total number of teaching staff doctors and nurses beyond 4000 among whom 800 are senior technicians or experts the university is rich in education capabilities.

D M U has over 10000 enrolled students of which about 2000 are in postgraduate programs. There are 5 Provincial key disciplines including Biochemistry& Molecular Biology Pathology & patho physiology Medical Stom-atology Clinical Medicine Integrated with chinese Traditional Medicine Social Medicine & Health administration with a clinical Pharmacological Research Base affiliated to the Ministry of Health is also offered . There is a more than 5000 m2 squared library which resources include 400000 books on various disciplines and over 1500 Chinese and foreign journals. it is also equipped with a multi-media learning areas an advanced electronic reading room and a digital bibliographic retrieval and medical library connected to the local network.

Dalian Medical Universitys 4 affiliated hospitals which houseover 10000 patient beds . The university is in a leading position within the nation on micro-biology tumor immunology plus research on Surgery Integrated with chinese Traditional Medicine etc. At present the investigations and explorations are being carried out on trans – gene animals biological anti-tumor drugs katsutoxin on epilepsy.
